August Rush
I just watched August Rush on DVD last weekend. My friend George gave me a copy of it a couple months before but I forgot to watch it. Blow saw it recently on HBO and said the movie was great including the soundtrack. So finally last week I watched it and I wasn’t disappointed. The movie exceeded my expectations because it’s about one of my favorite things in the world…music. The movie was released last 2007 and it stars Keri Russell (Felicity), Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Freddie Highmore and Robin Williams.
The story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist and a sheltered young cellist who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York's Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger, August uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth.-IMDBThe movie is a bit of a modern fairytale and greatly reminds me of Oliver Twist. It’s inspiring, heartwarming and has a cool soundtrack. This is my favorite line from the movie spoken by Wizard (played by Robin Williams) which for me captures the essence of the movie"You know what music is? God's little reminder that there's something else besides us in this universe, a harmonic connection between all living beings, every where, even the stars."

Holiday Reads
The cold weather with occasional rain showers during the long holiday was the perfect setting as I was tucked in my bed with books. I received 4 books as presents from generous friends and from exchange gifts. I got Double Cross by James Patterson from Ruby, American Gods by Neil Gaiman from Julius, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee from Armie and Twilight by Stephanie Meyer from Leah all the way from Dubai.
On top of those books I read The Devil and Miss Prym by Paolo Coelho,Atonement by Ian McEwan, What Maise Knew by Henry James, The Lake House and Maximum Ride by James Patterson and Fear of Flying from Erica Jong. I haven't finished them all yet. I actually still have a lot of unread books that i've hoarded. I need a another long holiday to finish them all. The purpose of this post is simply to brag LOLS

Ravenhearst 2
Happy New year! Happy New Game! All my reflections and thoughts during the holidays were erased from my mind once I got hold of the Ravenhearst 2 game from MCF which is an absolute master piece! I've waited for this game for almost 3 years. It's about being a detective and solve the mysterious disappearances around Ravenheast Manor and you have to find hidden objects, solve puzzle and etc. The graphics, soundtrack and storyline are really creepy. The puzzles are challenging and sometimes i'm too impatient to solve it that I resorted to cheating. It's better to cheat than to skip is my motto in games and in life. Weeee!
Okay i'll be more coherent once i'll finish this game :)
